Cayenne Garlic & Ginger Tea

OffTheWheatenPathTT

I would be the first to admit that eating clean, gluten free and candida friendly is a difficult process that takes quite a bit of will power to stay on track. For the past couple of weeks, although I have been eating well, I’ve still been cheating. Having a little browning here and there, a glass of my favorite Merlot and to my own detriment cheese. So lets just say it’s been a rough couple of days.

As I try to get back on the straight and sugar free, I’ve cut out my afternoon coffee and replaced it with this candida fighting Cayenne Garlic & Ginger Tea.

If you don’t like garlic and ginger, this is not for you, but if you do and enjoy a little spice in your life this is the tea for you.

All you need is:Ginger Tea 4-2

  • 1 Piece of ginger 1 inch thick grated
  • 1 clove garlic grated
  • A dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 packet of stevia.

Simply:

  1. Add your grated garlic and ginger to 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and let simmer for about 5 mins (or longer depending on how strong you want your tea.)
  2. When there is only one minute left on the timer, add the dash of cayenne and let simmer with the garlic and ginger for the last minute.
  3. Finally strain your tea into a cup, sweeten with stevia and enjoy.

Note: If you’re not a big fan of garlic, you can always leave it out and just drink it as Cayenne and Ginger Tea.
