Hello! I’m Renee’! And Off The Wheaten Path is my adventures in Gluten Free and Clean eating. It’s filled with recipes, tips and tricks to easy and delicious Gluten Free and clean eating. I’m remaking some of my favorite recipes and creating new ones too, while trying to make Gluten Free delicious and easy for anyone. I may not always get it right, but I’m going to keep on trying until I do!

How did it start?
For many years I suffered with severe allergies. It had reached a stage where it felt like everything I ate made me sick. After years of suffering and getting tired of taking numerous medications I did a blood analysis and they discovered I had very high levels of Candida Albicans. At first I had no clue what they were talking about. I was like, “What is Candida?” After doing lots of research I realized that it is a fungus; that in high levels, may have been causing all of my allergies. Since then I have been on a clean, gluten-free, low sugar, low carb, no diary diet, to detox, but as a result I had remove many of my favourite foods. So one day I told myself that if this was how I was going to live, I had to find a way to do it on my terms with the foods I loved. And Off the Wheaten Path was born.
It was difficult at first, trying to figure out the recipes and what I could and could not use, but after lots of trial and error I’m finally getting it and I’m creating recipes for foods such as pizza, and creamy chicken alfredo that taste great but is still clean and healthy, and of course Gluten-Free.
