I’m Back in the Kitchen!

OffTheWheatenPathTT

Nine years going on Ten! Honestly, it feels surreal even typing that out. What started as a small gluten-free food blog has now become a decade-long journey of recipes, creativity, late-night kitchen experiments, and learning how to navigate life while staying true to the things I love.

If you’ve been following along with me on Off The Wheaten Path over the years, you probably noticed things became a little quiet… then active… then quiet again. The truth is, the past couple of years have been a season of transition. Like many people after COVID, I struggled to find my rhythm again. Balancing work, personal life, health, creativity, and the pressure of constantly creating content became more difficult than I expected.

What began as a food blog slowly expanded into publishing projects, recipe development, creative design, and faith-based content, with four cookbooks and a few other minor projects. While I’m incredibly grateful for that growth, trying to juggle both worlds often left me stretched thin. Some days the recipes flowed naturally. Other days, burnout won. And somewhere in the middle, I realized I missed the original heart of this blog – sharing comforting gluten-free food, Caribbean-inspired recipes, and the joy that comes from gathering around a table.

As Off The Wheaten Path turns 9 this year, it feels like the perfect time for a fresh start as we lead up to the 10th anniversary. It is a revamp. A reboot. A healthier and more intentional version of the blog.

Over the next few months, you’ll start seeing more easy gluten-free recipes, healthier lifestyle ideas, meal inspiration, Caribbean flavors, behind-the-scenes content, and practical tips for living gluten free without feeling overwhelmed. I want this space to feel inspiring again – not only for you, but for me too.

And before all the new recipes roll out, I couldn’t help but revisit some of the classics that continue to be favorites in our kitchen.
