Swiss Chard: 6 weeks later…
About six weeks ago, my dad and I decided to fix our home garden. Planting our own food so that it’s healthy and organic. We don’t have much space but I think we’ve made the most of it, building plant troughs out of PVC pipes and mounting them on the wall.
The first thing we decided to plant was Swiss Chard. Everyday I would go outside and check, making sure it had enough food, sun and water. Finally they started to bloom and six weeks later they’re almost ready to harvest. I can’t wait!!! There’s such a great feeling in planting your own food, watching it grow, harvesting it and eating it. Definitely a farm to table moment!
Now it’s to find a recipe to make with it!!!
