Happy New Year!

Who’s ready for 2020? I’m not sure I am, felt like Christmas was just here, but whether we like it or not the old year has gone and the new one has begun. So we’re looking on the bright side and taking 2020 by the….i’m not sure what….but we are holding on and making this year a great one!

When you really think about it, the new year is just like Sunday into Monday and January into February. But there is special significance in the ending of one year and the beginning of another that makes you take check of the things you’ve accomplished, things you didn’t get to complete and things you hope to do for the future.

A new year brings with it hope! Hope that things will be better than the year before, hope that all your hopes and desires will be fulfilled. It gives us the opportunity to reflect on the past and see what changes can be made for a better future.

2019 was a year filled with ups and downs, but we had some great accomplishments like the release of our first cookbook Homemade for The Holidays, and a Newspaper feature. Things like this help me to move forward and not give up.

For 2020 we’ve got lots planned and a whole bunch of new recipes to share!

We’ll be working on another cookbook or two, recipe cards with recipes, meal plans and more! We’re even hoping to do a Podcast…(what do you think?)

Not sure where exactly the New Year will lead. Praying that I can accomplish everything that I’ve set out to do! A great help has been my Happy Planner and following my Simple Goal Setting to help plan out my goals and how to achieve them.

I will be starting out on a healthier note for sure. Going to be cooking up some new dishes, and some old ones like my Quinoa Salad, Thai Salad, Callaloo, Tacos, Stuffed Butternut Squash, and more!

As you start the new year remember, you don’t need to wait for the New Year to plan smart and achieve your goals. Everyday is a new opportunity to start fresh and see where God leads and the world takes us.
